FLORIDA. A brutal video hit the internet this week displaying a vicious beating of 16-year-old Victoria Lindsay by 8 school classmates -- two boys and six girls. Even more shocking is their motive: Supposedly, the attack was carried out for the fun of posting the video on Youtube.
After Lindsey was sent to the hospital for treatment, the sheriff's office investigated and discovered the video, which was filmed inside a Polk County house. The police call the video horrifying.
Victoria Lindsay was invited to the home and was assaulted immediately upon arrival, as others in the background yell and provoke the fighting. The victim suffered eye injuries, a concussion, and countless bruises. Two accomplices stood watch outside the house.
The sheriff's office believes the fight was conducted for the sole reason of entertainment, and that the video was intended from the beginning to appear on video sites Myspace and Youtube.
All 8 suspects now face charges for false imprisonment and battery. Of the 8, 3 are also facing kidnapping for purportedly forcing Lindsay into a car to be transported away from the crimescene after the attack.
The attackers are Cara Murphy (16), Mercades Nichols (17), April Cooper (14), Brittini Hardcastle (17), Britney Mayes (17), and Kayla Hassell (16), while the lookouts were identified as Zachary Ashley (17) and Stephen Schumaker
